Yukon Landscaping, Inc. was founded in 1995 by Kenneth A. Bollin, and Shawn L. Flaherty.  Two friends working in related construction fields trying to come up with a better way to earn a living.  It started out small, as most businesses do, but grew rapidly in a variety of ways.  The beginning was littered with a variety of small jobs, trying to pay the bills.  Working out of a home garage with a couple of trucks the two young men quickly got the reputation as tireless workers who would do anything for their customers.
           
One job led to another and they realized they needed some help.  This is where the story starts to grow.  With the addition of employees, Yukon could do more work, service more customers and expand.  In 1999 they were out growing the garage and moved to 252 Britton St. Raynham MA., a business location off Rt. 138.   At this location the business really flourished and more trucks, trailers, machines and equipment was purchased.  The customer list was growing, and the reason for the growth was the same as it was in 1995, a tireless work ethic and employees who would do anything to exceed the expectations of the customer.

As the Customer list grows services tend to expand and they did.  In 2001 along with the already extensive list of services provided, such as Landscape Construction, Maintenance, and Masonry work, in house irrigation installation and service was added to ensure we could control every aspect of our customer’s projects.  Also in 2001 we started to do more commercial work, but made a promise to keep the residential side which had given us a great customer base. This brought a new challenge, keeping a wide range of customers happy in a variety of fields.  By bringing in only the best employees and training them to handle all of our customers needs we mastered the task.

From 2002-2007 the business took off and we were hiring office personnel, equipment operators, account managers, and pesticide applicators to help us with our goal of continuous growth thru customer satisfaction.  We were also working smarter by implementing a safety program and training employees on a variety of different procedures and situations.  Also we joined PLANET (The professional land care network) a national organization serving the green industry.  We were one of the first in our area to own a bark blower to assist in the application of mulch and added more services such as night lighting.   With all this happening we were now competing for some of the most sought after construction jobs and maintenance contracts in Southern New England.  All the while still remaining a driving force in the residential market which got us started.

They say history repeats itself and it sure did.  We were again growing out of our home and needed to find a new location.  In January of 2008 we moved into our new facility at 407 South St East , Raynham MA.  It is a state of the art facility with everything we need to continue our growth well into the future.  We have added numerous pieces of equipment thru the years and feel our fleet of trucks, machines and trailers is capable of handling any size job. 
In looking back on our growth the things that got us started in the right direction keep us moving forward even today.

As for Ken and Shawn, they are still hands on today.  Ken runs the office and handles the day to day operations including budgets, purchases, estimating and financials.  Shawn handles the large construction and irrigation projects, equipment and employees. They are both married with families and are active members of their respective communities.  Whether it be coaching, volunteering, donating or serving they continue to work tirelessly to strive and excel in all aspects of life.
